On December 9th, Versus reported Julio Enciso wants to leave Brighton & Hove Albion in the winter market due to Fabian Hürzeler’s decision to overlook him at The Amex.

A day later, Paraguay manager Gustavo Alfaro stated the 20-year-old will go out on loan in this window.

Since then, Enciso has enjoy more minutes at Brighton and scored in their 4-0 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup last weekend.

ABC Cardinal 730 AM took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that the Seagulls have no plans to sell the attacking midfielder in January and he will only go out on loan if he were to sign an extension.

They add the Paraguay international and Hürzeler’s side are in negotiations over a new contract as his current deal expires in 2026.

Over at ABC, they point out recent claims of interest from West Ham United and Atalanta in the Brighton man.

Enciso wanted to leave the Premier League side at one point because the manager didn’t consider him key, but that was before he started enjoying regular minutes.

Meanwhile, Brighton have now ‘warned’ his suitors that they will only sanction a sale for $35m and a loan move will only be considered if Enciso were to sign an extension.
