Earlier this week, Atalanta were linked with a move for Brighton & Hove Albion youngster Julio Enciso.

Tuttomercatoweb reported the Italian side had already made an offer for the Paraguayan, putting forward an initial loan with an option to buy move.

More updates have emerged from Italy about the 20-year-old. L’Eco di Bergamo, as relayed by CalcioAtalanta, have confirmed Atalanta’s liking for Enciso.

The Bergamo outlet report that Enciso is seen as the future of the Italian club’s attack and many view him as a possible replacement for Ademola Lookman.

Despite that, Brighton’s current asking price is making the transfer ‘complex’. The Seagulls want €40m to sell the Paraguay international and Atalanta have been made aware of the significant costs of the move.

The Brighton player is amongst one of the most promising future targets for their attack – along with Rayan Cherki, and his situation will be monitored in the next few transfer window.

There does not seem to be any immediate threat of losing the player but the indication is that interest in the starlet could rise.
