Chelsea forward Pedro Neto has admitted he is thanking God he’s ended up at the club with João Félix and Renato Veiga as the duo give him a “total energy boost”.
Mais Futebol cover comments from the Chelsea man today from an interview with DAZN, in which he admits he’s delighted he ended up at the club alongside his compatriots.
Neto joined the Blues this summer in a €60m move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, their biggest spend of the summer.
He narrowly saw out Félix as the most expensive arrival at the club, with him joining in a €52m deal from Atlético Madrid.
Veiga was very much at the other end of the scale, joining Chelsea in a €14m transfer from FC Basel that has proven to be something of a bargain deal so far.
The Portuguese trio have quickly formed a bond behind the scenes, something it seems Neto is particularly delighted about as they’re giving him extra motivation on the difficult days.
‘Thank God we’ve had the chance to work together,” he said.
“Sometimes you can come to the training centre a little tired, but just having these two here is a total energy boost, because they don’t even give me a break.”
The winger was then asked to answer who the ‘most entertaining player’ in the Chelsea squad was, and he highlighted Félix as the outstanding candidate on that front.
“You have to ask them, but if I had to choose, I’d go for Félix, but he and Renato are always playing with each other,” he added.
“They try to pull me in, it’s very funny. We play all day long. But if I had to choose one, I’d go for Félix.”
