Sporting’s Ousmane Diomande has established himself as a key player for the Portuguese club over the last couple of seasons.

The centre-back has played regularly under Ruben Amorim this season and usually when a youngster impresses in Portugal, talk of interest from the major European sides is never too far away.

Arsenal and Chelsea are again presented as candidates to land the 20-year-old Diomande.

Record Portugal today report that while Bayern Munich are advanced in their move for the youngster, Arsenal and Chelsea have also made approaches for the centre-back.

Those approaches have been denied and knocked back, with Bayern intensifying their efforts.

The Bavarians are keen and have also watched Diomande closely at multiple games in recent weeks. The player is aware of the attention that he is attracting but is focused on Sporting.

The Portuguese giants have not received any offers from Arsenal, Chelsea or Bayern even though the three clubs are said to be rather ‘serious’ with their interest.

As of now, Sporting are referring to Diomande’s release clause of €80m, although it’s unlikely they’ll get that.
