AS Monaco may be having one big goodbye party this summer, which starts now, with Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, and ends in August. The French champions have had an excellent season, and their philosophy of buying low to medium and selling high is one which is serving the club very well indeed.
French newspaper L’Equipe suggest the intention is there. Tottenham have ‘expressed a keen interest’ to the entourage of Lemar, making it known they have a will to buy the player. L’Equipe believe the club, who finished second in the Premier League, have a big budget to fulfil their summer aims.
Lemar is a 21 year old attacking midfielder, who has spent the majority of this season on the left. He’s notched up 14 goals for Monaco and fourteen assists, an impressive total.
Tottenham were particularly impressed with Lemar’s performances against them, but they’re not the only club keen. Atletico Madrid had a €25m offer refused last summer, and Juventus are keen to do business this time around.
