According to SporunDibi Manchester United right back Antonio Valencia could be a Trabzonspor player very soon. Yes, it sounds absolutely ridiculous, but it’s what they’re claiming.
It’s been reported the Turkish side are chasing Marouane Fellaini, but SporunDibi say Valencia could also join Trabzonspor from Manchester United. It’s been reported the 31 year old is on Trabzonspor’s summer short list, and the first negotiations went very well for both parties.
The Turkish newspaper says unless there’s a dramatic twist in the discussions Valencia will join Trabzonspor in the next window. The Ecuadorian has been at Manchester United for almost 8 years and Jose Mourinho has made him the club’s first choice right back for most of the campaign.
However, given Mourinho rates Valencia so highly after admitting he tried to sign him when he was the coach of Real Madrid, these reports seem a little far fetched. The South American is the man of the moment after picking up the Manchester United Player’s Player of the Season award, and it’s likely he’ll be in Mourinho’s plans for next season.
