James Rodriguez gave a gesture as he left the pitch on Sunday which, in the opinion of some, is a clear sign he’s on the verge of joining Manchester United.
The Colombian has been linked with a move to Manchester United for some years, but over the past week those claims have seen one of their regular peaks. RCN radio in Colombia reported an agreement in principle between James and Manchester United, but with no agreement between the clubs that didn’t mean a great deal.
Regardless, James’ movements coming off the pitch on Sunday were watched closely. Zinedine Zidane decided to replace James against Sevilla, and the Colombian clapped the Bernabeu’s stands.
Mundo Deportivo believe it’s a gesture which shows he’s off, and they state James is ‘very close’ to ‘becoming a player’ of Manchester United.
It was Real Madrid’s last home game of the season. However, it’s worth pointing out James, and anyone else perhaps leaving, would get a perfect chance to say goodbye at the Bernabeu should the club win La Liga and/or the Champions League and have a big celebration at their famous ground.
