Leicester City’s hierarchy have been ‘seduced’ by OH Leuven manager Oscar Garcia as they start the search for Enzo Maresca’s replacement.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who suggest the OH Leuven manager could be the frontrunner to replace Maresca at the King Power stadium.
Maresca appears to be closing in on a move to Chelsea, with the Blues having moved quickly to try and secure his signature this week following Mauricio Pochettino’s departure.
All signs point to him taking the job at Stamford Bridge sooner rather than later, leaving Leicester to look for the manager who will lead them in their first season back in the Premier League.
L’Equipe now follow that up and explain that those in charge at King Power, who own Leicester and OH Leuven, are considering recruiting the 51-year-old for the Foxes.
They say Garcia is in their sights and according to a ‘close source’ the Spaniard’s management of the Belgian side, who he kept in the Belgian Pro League this season despite many predicting relegation has impressed those in charge.
They’ve been ‘seduced’ by both his ideas and his management style and a possible move back to England, where he previously managed Brighton and Watford, is now being considered should Maresca leave as expected.
