Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri has been on loan at Granada since the January window.

The winger is currently on international duty with Uruguay and has been speaking to the national team’s official channel, AUF TV, and ESPN have relayed his comments.

After discussing his latest call-up, the Manchester United owned player talked about the La Liga side.

The 22-year-old struggled to enjoy regular minutes under Erik ten Hag in the first half of the season and that convinced him to leave the Red Devils, at least temporarily.

Pellistri has gained some prominence at Granada and has started in every league tie since joining them, managing a goal and two assists in the process. However, he’s yet to win a game with the club who are currently 19th in the table.

Earlier this month, Granada sacked manager Alexander Medina and appointed José Ramón Sandoval as his successor.

“At the club we are going through a complicated time, but football is like that, there are good and bad moments and you have to be quick to change the chip and bring good energy here,” he said.

“When I return to the club, we have to continue with the best of energy to achieve our objectives, and try to do our best here.”

Although things have improved personally for the Manchester United player, he’s not pleased with the situation at Granada.

“I’m getting a lot of minutes in Granada. I’m happy about that part, but sad about how the level of the group is going, we all want to achieve the objective, there are still chances: as long as those chances are there, we’re going to keep fighting,” Pellistri explained.
