Prior to Brazil’s current games in the World Cup qualifiers, we saw a little controversy regarding Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus.

With manager Mikel Arteta claiming the player was still far from returning to training, national team manager Fernando Diniz insisted on taking him with the squad.

Gabriel Jesus may not have travelled for the match against Colombia, but according to Band, he’s set to start against Argentina on Tuesday evening.

Reporter Thiago Carvalho claims that back on Saturday, the Arsenal player had been used in a training session as a substitute in attack. Then, since Sunday, he’s been training as a starter.

Brazil have a final training session on Monday afternoon, with Fernando Diniz still showing some doubts he has for the team, but Jesus is now expected to stay in the eleven.

The striker hasn’t played for Arsenal since October, and missed five games so far. With the club sounding sure he shouldn’t be going to the national team, we’ll see how they react in case he’s deemed fit enough to start the match against Argentina.
