Ever since João Moutinho left Wolverhampton Wanderers, it seemed like he’d been heading to a FC Porto comeback.
Recent reports, however, started claiming the Dragons were having doubts about his signing, as manager Sergio Conceição wasn’t sure if the 36-year-old would be needed in their squad.
Now according to a fresh report from O Jogo, Moutinho is actually joining SC Braga.
Moutinho has some nice history with the Portuguese giants, as he spent three years at the club and there he drew Europe’s attention, getting sold to Monaco on a €25m deal in 2013.
However, it’s now confirmed that Porto were not that interested in having him, and with the move collapsing, the player has agreed to take the option of signing for Braga.
The Arsenalistas are now one step from qualifying for the Champions League, so that’s not such a bad option for him after all.
Moutinho left Wolves this summer after five years at the club, having made 212 appearances for the Molineux side.
