With Aston Villa interested in signing Marcus Acuña from Sevilla, their manager isn’t happy at all about this situation.
José Luis Mendilibar today held a press conference and talked about how the La Liga side have been handling the transfer window, as there are a couple more weeks where they can sign or lose players.
With the recent rumours about Acuña’s move to Aston Villa, the coach seemed to send a message to their former director Monchi. The quotes are brought by ABC Sevilla, who along with others in Spain take the manager’s words as a message to Monchi.

Earlier on Tuesday, we covered reports from Spain claiming that Aston Villa’s first offer for Acuña was ‘flatly rejected’ by Sevilla.
It was said the Premier League side put €5m plus €2m in bonuses on the table, and that was far from enough to convince the Spanish side.
It’s known that Sevilla are going through some financial difficulties, but the attempt was seen as insulting, given how much they believe Acuña to be worth.
The Spanish club spent over €11m to get him signed from Sporting in 2020, and he’s now valued by Transfermarkt at €10m, with a contract running until 2025.
