Anderlecht are willing to match Brentford’s demands for Sergi Canós and are ‘pushing him’ to make a decision about his future as he continues to wait for Valencia.
That’s according to AS, who say the Belgian side are ‘testing the patience and will’ of the Spaniard as he tries to wait for Valencia to get a deal over the line.
They’re currently only offering a percentage on a future sale, but Brentford don’t want that and are instead demanding a €500,000 fee for the player, whose contract expires next summer.
Valencia can’t afford that, but Anderlecht can and have offered to match that price, as well as including a percentage on a future sale and an improvement on the contract terms offered.
Canós is aware of all of this, but the fact that Valencia cannot and will not move for him until they can afford to do so.
Therefore, Anderlecht are ‘pushing him’ and unless Brentford yield to the Spaniards, a move to the Mestalla currently seems impossible.
