As reported by the Italian media at the time, the Whites are set to take 50% of the goalkeeper’s future transfer fee. That didn’t seem like a lot back then, but with the recent rumours he’s been involved in, that may now become a decent chunk of money.
Italian newspaper Tuttosport (via I Love Palermo Calcio) today feature a story on the former Leeds goalkeeper. They claim that following his recent performances for Bari, he’s been drawing the interest from big European clubs such as Benfica and Napoli.
What could make his transfer cost more is exactly the fact that big clubs are looking for him. Benfica want someone to replace Odysseas Vlachodimos in the future, and already look at the Italian youngster.
Caprile’s move to the Eagles could look better for Leeds, and that’s because that’s a scenario where Bari would try to make as much as possible with the sale. The picture is different with Napoli, because both Italian clubs are owned by the De Laurentiis family, and that could result in a more friendly fee, to say the least.
