With the end of the U-20 South American Championship, Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos has already flown to London, where he’s joining Chelsea’s squad.
The Blues are now set to make a new attempt for him to get a work permit. The first try wasn’t successful, but there’s hope that his participation in the international tournament will be enough for the FA to accept him as a special talent.
That’s reported by Globo Esporte, who claims that despite the recent rumours about a potential loan back to Brazil, the player is going to England ‘with the desire to never leave Chelsea’.
His intention is to start the adaptation with the Blues and be ready to play for them in the next season.
It doesn’t even make much sense for him to be sent to another club now because besides the short time until the next summer, there’s also the U20 World Cup coming up in May, so in case of a move to Brazil, he would only spend about two months at his new side.
That tournament is important, as that’s expected to help him with the permit.
That’s why Andrey isn’t in a hurry to play, and is set to wait for his chance at Chelsea.
