For the past few weeks, multiple reports coming out of Spain and Germany have talked about Liverpool’s interest in Jude Bellingham.

On September 26th, Marca stated the Reds have ‘special insistence’ to sign the Borussia Dortmund star, who is also wanted by Real Madrid.

Earlier this month, we covered a claim from AS that Liverpool have taken ‘decisive steps’ to land the 19-year-old and are set to compete with Los Blancos for his signature.

A latest report from Bild states the Premier League side and Real Madrid are ‘outsiders’ in the chase for the teenager.

The England international is on the front page of today’s Marca. Within the report, it’s said the La Liga winners are optimistic to secure his services for a deal over €100m.

Real established contact a year ago and now moved on the phase where they are talking about the figures of the potential operation.

It’s not the first time Liverpool have battled with Real Madrid this year. After beating them in the Champions League final, the Spanish capital club overcame competition from the Merseyside club to sign Aurélien Tchouaméni from AS Monaco in the summer window.

Marca points out that Jürgen Klopp recently said Real left the Merseyside club without a signing [Tchouaméni] in the last window. It’s said this has ‘hurt’ the German as much as the Champions League final defeat.

Tchouaméni edged to the European champions over the Premier League side due to the emotional aspect. It’s claimed Real are ‘trying to repeat the same strategy’ to sign the BVB star, to possibly beat Liverpool and his other suitors in the process.

With Liverpool among the clubs in the mix to sign Bellingham, the Madrid club are aware there will be competition. Marca state Real believe the weight of their club, history and success could favour them in bringing the player to the Bernabéu.
