If there’s one man at Aston Villa setting tongues wagging these days, it’s Carney Chukwuemeka.
The 18-year-old appears to be a target for almost every big club in Europe these days, which, to us, sounds like some agent games, and Milan are the latest to be thrown into the mix.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Serie A side ‘have identified’ the Aston Villa starlet as ‘the right profile to reinforce the midfield’.
The reason for that is his contract at Villa Park, which is set to expire in 2023, and the player ‘doesn’t want to renew’.
This is likely why so many clubs are interested, and it’s believed the player ‘really wants a change of scenery’, having been at Aston Villa since he was 12.
Believing he can be the next Paul Pogba, ‘his idol’, the youngster reportedly ‘looks around with interest’, and with Milan still needing a replacement for Frank Kessie, his profile ‘perfectly embodies the Elliott philosophy’, which will remain ‘substantially unchanged even when the club passes into the hands of RedBird’.
This is why the Italians are ‘serious for him’, despite Villa trying to get the midfielder, seen as a ‘little bit of Bellingham’ and a ‘little bit’ of the aforementioned Juventus star, a new contract since October, to no avail.
The other option, if they can’t reach an agreement with the Premier League club this summer, is to waiting until January, at which point they will be able to discuss with Chukwuemeka freely about a free transfer.
