Adrien Truffert’s move to Bournemouth from Stade Rennais this week is being celebrated by his former club C’Chartres Football.
That’s according to Le Echo Republicain, who report that the club are set to earn €127,000 from the defender’s move to Bournemouth this week.
They report that Truffert’s €17m move to Bournemouth couldn’t have come at a better time for the leading club in Eure-et-Loir as it will ‘bring in a lot of money’ for them thanks to FIFA’s Solidarity Scheme.
Truffert previously played as a youngster at FC Chartres from 2010 to 2015, making them eligible as part of FIFA’s mechanism to reward clubs for developing players.
Chartres were merged with Chartres Horizon to form C’Chartres Football and so they’re now set to earn a ‘whopping’ €127,000 from the Bournemouth deal.
They’re also set to benefit again in future if Truffert were to move to another English club, with the newspaper ever naming West Ham as an example. A return to France wouldn’t trigger it as the training clubs are in the same association as the buying club.
That’s something to keep an eye on in future, for now they’re simply celebrating Bournemouth’s deal bringing in ‘big bucks’ to the club, ten years after Truffert left for Rennes.
