On May 19th, we carried a report from FcInter1908, who stated that Tottenham Hotspur have shown ‘particular interest’ in Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni.
It was also explained the defender has found out through his agent, Tullio Tinti, that the Serie A side could sacrifice him in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur following the 23-year-old is now further discussed by another website, FcInterNews.
The Italy international cemented his place when Antonio Conte, who is now in charge of the north London club, was at the San Siro. He has kept his place in the side after Simone Inzaghi replaced Conte last summer.
Bastoni’s displays for club and country have seen other European clubs turn an eye to him, so much so that, some have even ‘contacted’ his agent. This includes Tottenham Hotspur.
Inter, for their part, have informed the agent his client could be sold, provided they receive an offer ‘not less than €60m’. Inzaghi would accept Bastoni’s sale as long as the Nerazzurri bring in a suitable replacement.
The Italian club have not received any offers and there have been ‘no negotiations’ so far for the centre-back. Conte and Spurs would be encouraged knowing there is an ‘opening’ from Inter to let Bastoni leave this summer.
