Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen finds himself in the middle of a tug-of-war as his agents work to find him the best deal for the summer.

The Danish defender is out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer, and all indications are that he will be leaving on a free transfer at that point.

At the minute, it appears he will be joining Barcelona, with several reports making it clear that negotiations with the Catalan giants are at an advanced stage.

Nothing is finalised yet, though, and there are other suitors, namely Bayern Munich, who will need to find a replacement for Niklas Sule this summer.

They’ve been chasing Christensen, too, and SportBILD report today that they had ‘dared to make an advance’ to try and secure his signature.

According to their information, the Germans ‘deposited a sustained interest’ with the Chelsea man’s agents, but the offer was to be ‘too low’ for him.

Indeed, Christensen himself ‘rejected direct talks’ and instead decided that ‘leaving the work to his advisors’ was the best course of action.

They’ve now seemingly sorted out a move to Barcelona, but perhaps there is still a chance for Bayern to up their bid and get the Chelsea man after all.

That’ll depend on his agents, who are surely rubbing their hands at the elite clubs in Europe wanting their client.
