As Qatari side Al-Rayyan seem to be about to announce the signing of James Rodriguez from Everton by any time now, we get to see more details on the move.
According to journalist Pipe Sierra, the Middle Eastern club plan to present the midfielder to their supporters on Thursday, despite rumours saying he could be at today’s match against Al Saad.
It’s claimed that Rodriguez will wear the number 10 shirt, the same he got to use at Porto, Real Madrid and currently does with the Colombian national team.
Regarding his salary, the report claims the player will make €7m per season at Al Rayyan. That means he’d take a pay cut to the wages he had at Everton.
It had previously been said that Rodriguez could even leave the Toffees on a loan move, but according to the very same Pipe Sierra earlier today, he’s going on a permanent transfer.
It’s said the announcement should be made in the coming hours, and we continue to wonder how much will Everton make from the sale.
