Galatasaray have identified Leeds United’s Ezgjan Alioski and Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt as two targets for the left-back position.
The duo’s contracts with the Whites and the Eagles will expire on June 30th. Last week, Sporx reported the Turkish side prefers Alioski over signing the Dutchman.
Their need to bring in a new left-back has further increased, now that Marcelo Saracchi returned to RB Leipzig after his loan stay, and Emre Taşdemir and Ömer Bayram’s contracts will run down in the summer.
According to Fanatik, the Süper Lig side have no intention to offer extensions to Taşdemir and Bayram, and they now ‘want to sign’ Marcelo Bielsa’s man.
It’s claimed Gala’s ‘operation officially begins’ to land the 29-year-old, who is on top of manager Fatih Terim’s wish list. He already held talks with the Leeds player.
Although the presidential election makes the club’s administration work difficult, Fanatik now explain ‘some meetings were held’ between Alioski’s camp and Galatasaray.
This was done with a view to get the deal done soon because the goal of Terim’s side is to make Alioski’s signing official before the end of next month.
