Newcastle United could make a bid to sign defender Daniele Rugani from Juventus either tonight or tomorrow.
That’s according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, who says the Magpies are eyeing up a loan move for the Italian defender.
The Juventus defender has been linked with a move to Newcastle for several weeks, with a report earlier today claiming that they had joined the race for his signature and could submit a bid anytime soon.
Pedullà now picks up on that and states that the bid may be imminent, stating that Newcastle have shown ‘concrete interest’ in Rugani and could present a proposal to the Italian champions ‘between tonight and tomorrow’.
They want a loan with a right to buy tagged on the end of it, although it’s not mentioned what Juve think about such a bid.
They’re open to letting Rugani go but have already turned down a bid from Valencia, who were offering a ‘dry loan’.
The door is open for Newcastle, then, although it seems they’ll have to offer the right amount of money if they want to get any deal over the line.
