According to a claim in the Turkish media, Celtic target Caleb Ekuban is likely to remain at Trabzonspor next season.
The former Leeds United attacker has recently been linked with a move to Celtic as Neil Lennon looks to add to his squad this summer. Along with bitter rivals Ranger, Celtic were said to be looking to sign the €10m rated player as Lennon looks to bring in support for Odsonne Edouard.
Fanatik today report the Scottish champions remain interested in sign Ekuban, but the forward isn’t looking to move. He’s reportedly told close friends he’s happy at Trabzonspor and it seems likely he will remain with the Super Lig club beyond this season.
With the prospect of Champions League group stage football next season, it looks like he will be staying with the Turkish Super Lig leaders. Lazio and AC Milan are also in the mix with Celtic to sign him.
Ekuban initially joined the Turkish side from Leeds United on a loan deal and they made his move permanent last summer.
His contract expires in June 2022.
