Fotomac report there are still clubs showing a serious interest in Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ekuban, including Rangers.
The player has been linked with a move to Ibrox in recent weeks as Steven Gerrard looks to bolster his attacking options in the summer. With Jermian Defoe’s future at the Scottish club uncertain due to his contract situation, and Alfredo Morelos repeatedly linked with a move, the Rangers boss may need to bring in a forward for next season.
It’s claimed Rangers remain interested in signing Ekuban this summer but face competition from Lazio, AC Milan and local rivals Celtic. However, Fotomac say the attacker Ekuban isn’t thinking about thinking about a move away from the Super Lig club at the moment.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Ekuban has told his close friends that he’s enjoying his life at Trabzonspor, but he is aware of the reports linking him with the likes of Rangers.
The Ghanaian striker will reportedly not force a move during the next window and Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu values him in the region of €10m.
Ekuban has made 25 appearances for Karadeniz Firtinasi in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals.
His contract will expire at the end of June 2022.
