The agent of Crystal Palace youngster Kevin Gonzalez has backed the youngster to have ‘an important future’ and believes the Eagles will be quick to sign him to a professional deal.
Gonzalez is one of the hottest prospects in Palace’s youth system, winning their academy player of the year last season.
Many are predicting a bright future as a result, with the hope he can be a future star for both club and country.
Indeed, he has already been the subject of an international battle, with Colombia desperate to convince him to turn out for them rather than England, who he is also eligible to play for after being born in the country.
At 18 years old he is yet to sign a professional deal for Crystal Palace, although that is likely to happen at some point given his star performances in their youth setup.
His agent, Joao Santos, certainly believes so, backing his client, who he likens to Philippe Coutinho, to have a big future.
“The Crystal Palace is focusing on him for the future,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“He’s a Coutinho guy. I believe he will sign a professional contract with the English club. He is a very talented player with an important future.”
