Former Leeds United forward Andy Ritchie believes the injury to club captain Liam Bridcutt is a blow to Garry Monk. The Scotland international has been ruled out for the next eight weeks following a fracture to his foot.
“The news that Liam Bridcutt is out for a spell with a foot injury is a blow, though. Just when you think you are going on top of things… But Garry has to take that on the chin and work out a solution to that.,” said Ritchie on the Leeds United midfielder.
Bridcutt re-joined Leeds United in the summer after his successful loan spell with the Championship side last season. The 27-year-old was installed as the captain of the club following the exit of Sol Bamba last month, but has already missed the last few games with his foot injury.
