Napoli are ready to push ahead with a move for Sofyan Amrabat, with Tottenham and West Ham also circling the Moroccan.
The 23-year-old is impressing on loan at Hellas Verona this season, who he joined in the summer from Club Brugge.
His performances have caught Napoli’s attention, and they have ‘intensified’ talks with the club to sign him next summer, according to Calciomercato.it.
This is mostly due to the fact Napoli are looking to overhaul the squad next summer but also because they want to get ahead of the competition, namely Inter Milan, Fiorentina, Tottenham and West Ham.
The website claims both Premier League sides are interested in the midfielder, although there’s no mention of whether they’re as keen as Napoli.
Nonetheless, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are pushing ahead with their attempts, and it’s explained that it will take €10m to get him, which is three times the amount Hellas have to pay to turn his loan deal into a permanent one.
That’s a price that Tottenham and West Ham would surely be able to pay, although they will have to wait until next summer if their interest is genuine.
As Amrabat has already played for two clubs this season, he can’t play for a third, meaning a move in January is off the cards at this point.
With Napoli seemingly pushing hard to get their man, though, the London duo may have to move quickly before the competition gets there first.
