Sheffield Wednesday summer signing Urby Emanuelson has told the Dutch media he isn’t looking for a bigger club or more money. The former Holland international joined the Championship side in the summer after becoming a free agent at the end of last season.

Speaking to Voetbal International, Emanuelson was asked about whether he is looking to return to the level of football he’s been used to in past seasons.

The Dutchman said at the moment he isn’t thinking about this because he just wants to play football. Emanuelson revealed he just wants to get enjoyment from playing the game, and believes he can get this at Sheffield Wednesday.

“I will not quickly choose the bigger club or the money. I want to feel like a footballer again. I want to have fun and enjoy. I think I can get this again in Sheffield. It’s okay, believe me,” said the Sheffield Wednesday player.

Emanuelson has spent most of career playing in Italy with AC Milan, Atalanta and more recently Hellas Verona. The 30-year-old had a brief spell in England when AC Milan loaned him out to Fulham for six months. The utility player has been capped 16 times by the Netherlands.
