The departure of Alvaro Morata from Juventus has forced them to look for a replacement, despite already having Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala, and Simone Zaza at the club.
Juventus have been linked to Edinson Cavani, Michy Batshuayi, Gabriel Jesus, Romelu Lukaku, and the latest reports suggest Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is also on their wish-list.
Thursday’s edition of Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport says Juventus could be looking to replace Morata with long term transfer target Sanchez.
Gazzetta reckon Sanchez is ‘tired of being in London’, but as always the costs involved to sign the Chilean star are likely to be a stumbling block.
Arsenal signed Sanchez for €42.5m from Barcelona, and would certainly demand a transfer fee higher than that, if they even think about selling him.
Juventus will also have difficulties in matching his wages, and Arsenal fans don’t really need to worry about their interest at the moment. The Italian press of course think Sanchez would be happier at Juve, because it’s in Italy.
The 27-year-old has a couple of years left on his existing deal, and Arsenal would be hoping to convince him to sign a new deal soon.
