Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a multitude of strikers in recent months as Mauricio Pochettino prepares the club for a Champions league campaign.

Spurs will be looking to move forward rather than stagnate and they need to improve the make-up of their squad.

Largely fortunate with injuries over the past season, it could be different in the new campaign and Pochettino will want to plan for that as well as the extra, and more difficult, games.

The most obvious area where strength is needed is upfront, to help Harry Kane carry the burden of scoring of goals.

Going under the radar slightly has been Vincent Janssen of Dutch club AZ. The latest in a long line of young Dutch sharp shooters in the Eredivisie, Janssen reportedly visited Tottenham recently with his agent.

Dutch newspaper AD explain on Thursday that Tottenham have already had a serious bid rejected recently, but intend to return soon to do the business.

This could be a relatively quick and low cost deal, leaving more expensive targets like Michy Batshuayi to one side.
