According to Turkish newspaper Star, Fenerbahce’s interest in Nottingham Forest defender Yohan Benalouane is legitimate and their manager Ersun Yanal will consider signing him if none of his primary targets arrive before the deadline.
Fenerbahce have been strongly linked with a move to AS Roma’s Aleksandar Kolarov throughout this window but recent reports suggested the Serie A side aren’t keen on letting the Serbian leave.
Subsequently they are now looking at other options with the Nottingham Forest player said to be one of them.
Star claim Yanal has been offered a chance to sign the Nottingham Forest’s man and he’s given the given the green light to bring in Benalouane if Kolarov doesn’t arrive.
It’s reported Yanal is particularly impressed with the 32 year old’s versatility as Benalouane could play anywhere in his defence.
The former Leicester City man has one year left on his current contract at the City Ground after signing for the Championship side in January.
