According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce have switched their attention to Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu.
The 23 year old joined Leicester last summer from Freiburg for €21m, but failed to establish himself in his debut season in England.
A loan move could be a possibility for the former Altinordu player and Fanatik report Fenerbahce are interested in taking the Turkish defender for a season.
The Super Lig side yesterday lost 6-1 to Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup and it’s quite obvious they need to bring in defensive options.
Fenerbahce only have two senior central defenders at the moment in Serdar Aziz and Sadik Ciftpinar, with the former ruled out for the next three weeks.
Fener manager Ersun Yanal has been using midfielder Jailson as a makeshift centre back and Fanatik say they are looking to bring in Soyuncu to solve their problems.
It’s also reported the young defender could be looking to find a club where he can play regularly, but Leicester City’s stance will be decisive.
The Istanbul club do have time to get a deal done with the Foxes as the Turkish window only closes at the end of August.
