Earlier today we covered reports from the Turkish media that Everton have offered Henry Onyekuru to Galatasaray on loan, with a mandatory redemption clause.
Last season the youngster spent the season on loan with Gala and he’s been linked with a return to Istanbul this summer.
Now that the 22 year old has returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, where he was representing Nigeria, Fanatik say the Turkish side will open transfer talks with Everton.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray board members will fly to England this week and are hoping they can convince the Merseyside club over another loan for the player. This is despite the reports today the Toffees don’t want a straight loan deal.
It’s claimed by Fanatik that the Premier League side may look to sell the Nigerian international after he impressed in the Super Lig last season, with Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla and CSKA Moscow all linked with a move for the attacker.
Onyekuru is under contract at Everton until June 2022 but to due work permit issues he’s yet to make an appearance for the club.
