Tottenham are expected to be busy this summer as Mauricio Pochettino looks to rebuild his squad.
The Argentine is reportedly set to overhaul his squad and has the funds to do so, now that they’ve completed the redevelopment of White Hart Lane.
While the focus will be on big name signings, it seems the club are still working on the future.
El Desmarque are reporting that they have already secured the signing of Celta Vigo youngster Yago de Santiago this summer. He’s described as one of the ‘best cadets’ of the club’s youth system.
The newspaper doesn’t offer any more information than that, other than the fact he’ll be leaving the club alongside several other youngsters.
It’s not the first time that Spurs have been linked with the player, though. He was identified as a target by the English media back in April, with those reports coming courtesy of Faro de Vigo.
They claimed the 16-year-old had already visited Tottenham and their facilities, while they said Spurs had proposed a contract with ‘extraordinary’ numbers.
This may not be the big signing that fans were hoping for this summer, but they can at least rest assured their club are continuing to look to the future.
