Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has spoken to TRT Spor after his club’s 4-2 win against Kaysersipor, and was quizzed about Manchester United interest in two of his players.

Agaoglu has confirmed scouts from the Premier League club had travelled to Turkey at the weekend after being questioned about their interest in Abdulkadir Omur and Yusuf Yazici: “They have been watching our players for quite a time. Today, Lille and Manchester United scouts were present.

“This is a source of pride for us. We want to continue developing younger players from our academy.”

Both Omur and Yazici were impressive in their side’s win yesterday, with both players scoring. Their form this season has brought them to the attention of several clubs, and Manchester United are latest to be linked.

At the weekend Fanatik claimed Manchester United had offered Agaoglu €20m to sign both Yazici & Omur this summer but the Super Lig club then denied these rumours circulating in the Turkish media.

Both Turkish internationals have been linked with moves to the Premier League in recent months and speculation is likely to increase once the transfer window opens in the coming weeks.
