Marco Silva is having a mixed first season with Everton.
Victory over Manchester United, by a margin of 4-0 on Sunday, was certainly a high-point and it’s reasonable to suggest he’ll expect his team to take a step forward next season, with improved consistency.
Quite obviously, an exit for the Portuguese manager wouldn’t really fit in with that.
And even if Silva did depart Goodison Park… Jurgen Klinsmann wouldn’t be near the top of many lists.
Regardless of all of that, France Football say the out of work manager is a ‘priority’ for Everton, along with Newcastle United.
Hertha Berlin is another opportunity, where the former Tottenham player’s son currently plays, and a move to Germany is thought to be likelier.
It’s unclear where France Football are getting their information from. If it’s from someone close to the manager then perhaps Everton and Newcastle are being used to hype the situation up.
This one is so eyebrow raising it could cause a strain.
