Portuguese newspaper A Bola brings a story today that should excite Porto fans, saying the club plan to make two more signings before the end of the transfer window.
The Dragons would have two priorities at the moment: a central midfielder and a striker. And for the first one, there’s a specific name being targeted: Olivier Ntcham.
The Celtic player has been linked to Porto for over a month now, but as the Portuguese side have problems affording the Frenchman, it seems they’ve delayed their attempt until the last days of the transfer market.
A Bola writes that Celtic are demanding €20m to sell Ntcham, and Porto should depend on ‘their negotiation skills’ to take the player from Scotland.
The report even points out that a swap involving Fernando Fonseca, who’s been linked to Celtic, has been mentioned by the Scottish press. But A Bola doesn’t seem to know anything about that for now.
We reckon it’s quite unlikely that Porto will spend €20m in late January, so the transfer should really depend on a discount from Celtic or maybe a loan with an option to buy.
