BIP Spor’s İbrahim Seten claims Fenerbahce will part ways with Leicester City loanee Islam Slimani before the Thursday transfer deadline, as the Turkish club look to bring in Benfica’s Nicolas Castillo as his replacement.

Seten says the Super Lig club are working hard to cut Slimani’s loan deal short and the player will not be involved in tonight’s game against Yeni Malatyaspor

It’s claimed Fenerbahce are looking to loan Castillo from Benfica, with Slimani’s short career there looking over.

There were previous reports in Turkey the Yellow Canaries wanted to swap Slimani for İstanbul Başakşehir forward Emmanuel Adebayor, but it looks like they’ve switched their attention to Castillo.

Since arriving from Leicester City last summer, Slimani has been a huge disappointment for Fenerbahce, scoring just one league goal in 14 appearances.

It now seems if they can get an agreement with Leicester City then the Algeria international could find himself a new club before the transfer window closes.
