Felipe Caicedo to Leeds United is one of three things.
An example of how a rumour can get out of hand and feed on itself with absolutely no input from reality or anyone involved in the potential transfer.
A rare coincidence, which sees one of the countless players HITC recommend Leeds United should sign actually being of interest. It had to happen sooner or later.
Or a case of reality following a rumour, in that the player or his club have seen the suggestion and it’s spurred them into trying to make the transfer happen.
Over the past few days various Italian newspapers have picked up the story, and Saturday’s edition of Il Tempo does just that.
In an article on various transfer business at Serie A club Lazio it’s stated Caicedo is set for the exit and ‘more and more’ towards signing for Leeds United.
It’s an intriguing situation and one to keep an eye on. Lazio are keen to sell, Leeds want a new striker, that’s two pieces of a jigsaw.
