On Monday, AS reported that Barcelona are considering to going ‘all in’ for Mohamed Salah, if they fail to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
The La Liga side are keen to bolster their attack in the summer and the Liverpool forward, Haaland and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski have emerged as three targets so far.
Sport on Tuesday include Haaland as a target for the Blaugrana, along with Jürgen Klopp’s star and Lewandowski.
Barca need a top level forward and the trio are the three main options for them in the next window. The newspaper explains Salah has a ‘60 percent’ chance of arriving at the club, while Haaland and the Pole have 30% and 10% respectively.
Regarding the Liverpool player, it’s stated the 29-year-old ‘responds to a more versatile player profile’ since he can operate both as a winger and a false 9.
Salah’s current deal at Anfield will expire in 2023 and the report adds his ‘renewal with Liverpool is still at an impasse’.
He and his suitors still have to negotiate with the Merseyside club, who have the ‘financial muscle’ and have no need to sell their star player in the summer.
The positive part, for Barcelona, say Sport, is that the Egyptian seems ‘predisposed to leave’ Liverpool to ‘start a new adventure in his career’.
If Salah were to leave Klopp’s side, it remains to be seen whether he will end up at Barcelona.
