Nottingham Forest are 30 minutes away from paying a €3m clause for Jota Silva, although a further €2m clause is seen as difficult to meet.

O Jogo cover the situation around the forward today, explaining that Nottingham Forest will be due to pay more for the forward due to a ‘variable’ in the deal that took him to the club last summer.

One of the clauses states that if he makes 15 appearances for Nottingham Forest, they will be due to pay Vitoria Guimaraes another €3m after paying €7m in the summer. He only needs to play 30 minutes in that appearance for the clause to activate. His other previous club Casa Pia also benefit from this.

There is another clause in player and that is based on goals. If Silva reaches ten goals this season, Nottingham Forest have to pay another €2m.

That, though, is seen as difficult for him to achieve given he has three in 26 appearances in the Premier League so far and four in 31 in all competitions to date.

Stranger things have happened, of course, but for now the focus is on that 30-minute appearance that will activate the first clause and force Nottingham Forest to pay up.
