Over the past few days, we’ve covered multiple reports from Italy that stated Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone’s loan stay at Fiorentina will be cut short in January.
Friday’s edition of Tuttosport explains Torino have emerged as a candidate to take the Wolves owned player.
Marco Giampaolo’s side, who are in the relegation zone, are looking to bring in a player in the winter market to provide support to star striker Andrea Belotti.
Cagliari’s Leonardo Pavoletti is included in Torino director Davide Vagnati’s list and Cutrone’s name has been added to it in the last few hours.
It’s once again stressed the Wanderers frontman lost his smile after he left AC Milan for Wolves, and after struggling for minutes at Fiorentina this season, Cutrone now wants to leave La Viola in the upcoming window.
According to the report, Torino have been looking at the 22-year-old since his time at the San Siro, but Milan’s €20m demand was deemed too high.
Now the situation has changed and Cutrone could be signed for less than €10m, even though he is available for a loan transfer, which seems a viable solution for next month.
Torino need to find a backup for Belotti and whether it will be Cutrone or another player remains to be seen.
Cutrone, for his part, remains keen to leave Fiorentina and it’ll be interesting to see where Wolves will place him in the second half of the season.
