Chelsea and Bayern Munich are in the picture for Palmeiras youngster Luis Guilherme.
The Blues and the Bundesliga winners are keen on securing his services and have already started the transfer battle. That’s according to journalist Jorge Nicola, and he made this claim in his column for R7 Esportes.
He states the 17-year-old has already received two ‘official offers’ from Chelsea and the Bavarian club of around R$190m [€35m] in fixed fee.
Palmeiras president Leila Pereira has turned down these two proposals as the journalist says she ‘still wants more’.
Nicola adds the Brazilian club want €25m as potential bonuses, along with the €35m fixed fee, but makes no mention if either Chelsea or Bayern are willing to meet the demand for the player.
The midfielder came up through the ranks of Palmeiras’ academy and was promoted to the first team earlier this year. He has clocked in 538 minutes from 23 games for them so far.
According to the report, the Brazil U20 international has a deal until 2025 and that includes a €60m release clause.
If Chelsea were to agree a deal with Palmeiras for Guilherme, he will not be able to arrive in the UK until he turns 18 years of age in February.
