Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cleared up the Alex Telles situation on Wednesday evening, when he announced the player has tested positive for Covid-19.

The left-back had already been left out of the squad which faced Chelsea in the Premier League at the weekend, and then missed the Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.

Solskjaer didn’t bring many details on Allex Telles’ recovery, largely because it’s nearly impossible to predict when he’ll be back at this stage, and that’s one of the reasons why the Brazilian national team are now worried as well.

Website UOL writes that national team are currently ‘monitoring’ Alex Telles’ situation to see what will be done, as Brazil play on the 13th and 17th of November.

Meanwhile, Super Esportes went a little further. They spoke to sources from the national team to confirm the names who are on the standby list in case Alex Telles is dropped.

They say it’s ‘possible’ that the Manchester United player will miss both games, although they need time to see how his recovery will go.
