Jose Mourinho wants to return to Chelsea for a third spell in charge of the club, seeing the opportunity as one not to be passed up.
That’s according to Fichajes, who say the Portuguese coach would be made available by Roma should he want to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Chelsea are currently searching for a new manager after sacking Graham Potter and have been linked to several names since his departure.
The belief is that Todd Boehly and co have not ruled out any possibilities at this moment in time, which has led to reports linking them to several of their former managers, including Antonio Conte.
Mourinho can now be thrown in the mix, with Fichajes stating that he is ‘ready for a third spell’ at the club if it is offered to him.
He is ‘willing’ to make a return to Stamford Bridge and would actually be ‘keen’ on the move despite his second spell ending as it did in 2015.
Although his current contract with Roma runs until June 2024 the Giallorossi ‘would be willing’ to accept an early departure.
They would need to receive a ‘hefty compensation package’ for their coach, though, something Chelsea would presumably be averse to paying given the money that’s already been spent at the club and the fact that several other high profile managers are available for free at this moment in time.
