Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton and Brentford are in the picture to sign Hertha Berlin’s Ibrahim Maza.
The 18-year-old is a product of the German club’s youth system and made his way into their first team in 2023. He made 29 appearances so far, scoring six goals and registering four assists of which four goals and two assists are from this season.
Maza’s ‘performances arouse desire’ of other clubs and this includes Wolves, Southampton and Brentford.
That’s according to Sky Deutschland, who state the Premier League trio have sent their scouts to take a closer look at the attacking midfielder.
Maza’s deal with the second division German club lasts until 2027 and doesn’t include a release clause. Interested parties must freely negotiate a deal with Hertha Berlin.
According to Sky, the German-born Algeria international’s asking price would be between €10-€20m. This would be affordable for Wolves, Southampton and Brentford. The report makes no mention if any of the three clubs are willing to invest on him.
Maza is ‘likely’ to leave Hertha Berlin if they fail to secure a promotion to the Bundesliga. They are 11th in the table, trailing third placed Fortuna Düsseldorf by four points.
