Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Matheus Nunes should not worry about his shoulder injury, according to reports from Portugal.
Newspaper A Bola today writes that despite being subbed off during the match against Brentford at the weekend, the player should soon be ready to play for Wolves again.
It’s said Nunes should be on the pitch on Saturday, when the Molineux side face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.
With the shoulder injury not being as complicated as it first sounded, there’s now no concern about him missing the World Cup.
That was the biggest fear when he left the pitch at the weekend, as he’s expected to be in Portugal’s list which will soon be divulged by manager Fernando Santos.
Before the break, Wolves have games against Brighton, Leeds United and Arsenal.
The match against the Whites is for the League Cup, while the two others are in the Premier League.
The Molineux side continue to have Steve Davis in charge of the team, as they look for a replacement for Bruno Lage, who was sacked at the start of October.
