Fabio Silva is set to complete what will be something of a loan upgrade this month.
Having become frustrated in Belgian football pretty quickly, the Portuguese striker wanted a switch in the January window.
Anderlecht released him from his loan, and talks with PSV, which had been going on for a while, continued.
Wolves have agreed to loan the attacker to the Eredivisie side, and Soccer News, a Dutch website, state he’ll ‘almost certainly’ sign his contract with PSV today.
That will be another loan deal, and there’s been no suggestion that there’ll be a purchase clause or anything of that kind included. The hope for Fabio Silva and Wolves is that the 20-year-old can get some more experience, and score more goals, at a slightly higher level than he was at in Belgium.
Soccer News say there’s even hope Silva will be able to make his debut against FC Emmen on Tuesday, which would be something of a whirlwind experience.
The youngster has a contract with Wolves which lasts until June 2026.
