As things stand, it will be a big surprise if Tiemoue Bakayoko is still a Chelsea player by the end of the January transfer window.
That’s because he isn’t playing at Milan, where he is on loan, and the Blues don’t want him back, leaving him little choice but look elsewhere.
Of course, he could sit back and finish getting paid without stepping on a pitch until his loan at San Siro comes to an end, but that isn’t what Adana Demirspor want.
This is due to the fact that the Turkish side want to sign the Chelsea defensive midfielder, but seemingly don’t want to pay anything for him.
This is according to Corriere dello Sport, who state that Demirspor ‘are trying to convince’ Bakayoko to ‘terminate with Milan and Chelsea’, meaning his respective contracts, in order to ‘accept the adventure’ offered by Vincenzo Montella.
Now, in a normal situation, it would be reasonable for the Serie A side to ask for some compensation to end the pre-agreed two year loan six months early, but considering the fact Stefano Pioli refuses to play him and the club want him out, they seem quite happy to forego anything just to get rid.
As for Chelsea, they have also previously been said to be ready to release the Bakayoko from his contract, leaving him free to choose his own destiny without any restrictions.
If all of that is true and he has yet to agree, then it must be he who is reluctant about walking away from what he currently has, hence why Adana Demirspor are trying to convince him it’s the right thing to do.
